Do not give up because something seems to hard. Be yourself and do not be scared to try new things and to make new friends, but remember to prioritize and stay on top of your school work.

My advice would be, be yourself and don't slack off because it will haunt you your senior year when you try to apply for colleges. Also if you decide to join a sport even for just a workout take it seriously, stay focused because you can end up somewhere like area, or regionals or even state with your hard work and determination. Last but certainly not least respect your upperclassmen mainly the seniors because they've been there longer than anyone else and most likely are not going to want to see you fail or give you the wrong advice.
